GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a credit union while armed with a shotgun Saturday morning.
Grand Rapids police say a man entered the Kent County Credit Union, located at 1619 Plainfield NE, around 9:30 a.m. armed with a short barrel shotgun. The suspect demanded cash and then fled north from the credit union with an undisclosed amount of money.
Authorities believe the suspect entered a red pickup truck parked nearby. The truck was described as having a large item in the bed of the truck.
The suspect is described as white man, 5′ 6″ to 5′ 8″ tall, medium to large build, wearing a black-hooded parka, black pants and tennis shoes. His face and head were covered with the hood from the jacket, dark sunglasses and a scarf worn just below his nose.
No one was injured during the robbery.
