GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Meijer is apologizing to customers and offering a $10 coupon after several shoppers were forced to leave their groceries at the check-out last month.
Customers at Meijer stores throughout the Midwest were unable to use their credit or debit cards due to a network outage on Feb. 27 and 28.
The Michigan-based grocery chain is offering a $10 coupon off a $50 purchase which can be used Friday or Saturday. The coupon can be found on Meijer’s m-perks app and meijer.com.
The coupon is accompanied by a message which states: “You deserve better. We’re committed to offering our customers a great experience, and that didn’t happen during a network outage.”
