Man hospitalized after knife fight with friend

GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed by his friend, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident happened Saturday morning just after 2 a.m. in the area of South Division and Gaines Street in Gaines Township.

According to a news release, deputies arrived on scene and found a 30-year-old man who said he was in a fight with his friend and they both had knives.

Deputies then found the friend, also a 30-year-old man, with several stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
