Woman treated for smoke inhalation from fire

A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at an apartment complex Saturday morning. (March 21, 2015)

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at an apartment complex Saturday morning.

The fire started just before 7 a.m. at the Oak Valley apartment complex in Wyoming, located off of 28th Street.

According to apartment staff, the fire was contained to one unit and the man renting the apartment had just arrived home from work. He did not suffer any injuries.

A woman living in the unit next door was transported to the hospital to be checked out for smoke inhalation.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
