GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) There comes a time when many of our loved ones may need a little help, but still want to remain independent. The Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan has programs that can help people remain in their own homes while receiving much-needed care and support.

The Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan can help older adults and individuals with a disability live independently at home. This can include home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. The programs help more people stay in their own home.

Signs That Home Care is Needed

  • Changes in home or personal appearance
  • Misuse or misunderstanding of medications
  • Old or spoiled food present
  • Difficulty managing bills
  • Struggles with balance
