Pepper spray released at Kalamazoo Central HS

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A small number of students required medical attention Tuesday after a student released pepper spray in a Kalamazoo Central High School classroom.

It happened around 1 p.m. on the second floor of the high school, according to a Kalamazoo Public Schools news release.

Students had to be pulled from eight classrooms, the release said.

School officials say parents and guardians of students who needed medical attention were notified.
