36th Street resurfacing project starts April 13

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kent County Road Commission says the resurfacing of 36th Street between Patterson and Kraft avenues will begin on April 13.

The resurfacing project includes the removal of existing asphalt pavement, placement of concrete pavement and work on the sidewalk ramps at both Patterson Avenue and Kraft Avenue.

During the project, officials with the Gerald R. Ford International Airport are encouraging visitors to plan ahead. The airport is also under construction with a parking garage roof project, which is scheduled to be completed in November.

The resurfacing of 36th Street is scheduled to be completed on July 3, weather dependent.
