Cure spring fever with a potting party

Feenstra Greenhouse

ALLENDALE, Mich. (WOOD) The sun is shining, but it’s still pretty cold outside. The best time to start planting your garden is the first week of May, but if you’re anxious to start your spring gardening, there is a special opportunity for you to consider.

Feenstra Brothers Greenhouse hosts Spring Potting Parties. You can bring your own containers or purchase containers at the greenhouse. Feenstra provide the dirt for free, as well as their expert staff to help you select the right plants and pot them right in the greenhouse. Then leave your plants there to be taken care of until May when they can be brought outside. It’s a great start for a fabulous Mother’s Day gift.

Potting Parties are free. You only pay for the plants you want. There is a small fee for more than one container. Many people come with groups and can bring refreshments or wine for an enjoyable time. There are three weeks in April open for potting parties: April 7 through April 25, excluding Sundays. If you’re interested in having a party, email
