GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Details for the funeral for a toddler who died in an apparent accidental drowning  have been released.

Calvin Louis Kirkbride, who was 22-months-old, went missing Friday during a family gathering at a home in the 2600 block of Moreland Drive in Grand Rapids. When police arrived at the home, they discovered the infant’s body in the swimming pool.

According to his obituary, funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Mary Magdalene Church, located at 1213 52nd Street SE in Kentwood.

Part of his obituary read “Calvin loved to be outside and especially enjoyed soccer and the trampoline. He was a loving and fearless little boy who was always smiling. Calvin was full of energy but still loved falling asleep in his father’s arms.”

The family asks in lieu of flowers that friends and family consider donations to the family.
