Robotics competition

WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) Students are learning all about engineering and technology, plus having a lot of fun at the FIRST Robotics State Competition. It’s happening this weekend at the DeltaPlex in Walker.

The competition combines the excitement of sports with science and technology. The robots, built by area high school students, will perform challenges related to a recycling theme. More than 100 teams are participating this year, working on their robots in the “pits.” The finalists will head to the World Competition in Saint Louis in May.

Check out the FIRST Robotics State Competition Friday and Saturday at the DeltaPlex. It is free for spectators.
