SPRINGFIELD, Mich. (WOOD) — A suspect who led police on a foot chase through Springfield was arrested on multiple felony charges.
Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over the suspect who was driving an unauthorized mini bike on Helmer Road on Sunday.
The suspect ignored the emergency lights before stopping a short distance later in a driveway on New Moon Terrace.
With the help of a K-9 unit, deputies discovered marijuana, scales and cash in the suspect’s backpack.
The suspect ran away on foot as deputies tried to arrest them.
After a foot chase through multiple yards, the suspect was caught by the K-9 unit.
The suspect is being held at the Calhoun County Jail on multiple felony charges including resisting and obstructing and possession with intent to sell marijuana.
