Police investigating suspicious Muskegon house fire

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a home in Muskegon.

The single family home, located in the 700 block of Roberts Street near Apple Avenue and U.S. 31, was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived just before midnight Monday.

No one was home when the fire started and no one was injured.

Authorities said the home is a total loss.

Muskegon Police and fire investigators are working to figure out what caused the fire which appears to be suspicious.
