Event combines shopping and chocolate

ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) There’s an event that combines shopping, chocolate, and supporting great causes. The Chocolate Stroll is returning to Rockford on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 6 p.m.

The Chocolate Stroll is a fun event. Twenty-two stores in downtown Rockford are participating. Each store offers discounts and specials, welcoming guests with samples of chocolate.

WAR Chest Boutique is one of the participating stores and is a location where you can buy tickets with cash or check. The boutique works with more than 40 countries to help people coming out of trafficking situations or abuse. Many of the items are made by survivors. Stop by WAR during the Chocolate Stroll to sample brown cow cheesecake, white chocolate fudge, and chocolate cake.

Tickets are $6 each or four for $20. To buy them online, click here. Tickets are available for pick up the day of the event at the Rotary Pavilion starting at noon.
