GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Griffins needed a win Wednesday to keep their Calder Cup Playoffs run alive — and they got it.
Going into Wednesday night’s game at Van Andel Arena, the Griffins trailed their first-round series against the Toronto Marlies two games to none, so they had to win to keep the best-of-five series going.
Grand Rapids bested Toronto 5-2.
