Live Arts draws 7,000 people

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Live Arts was a first-of-its-kind performance where brilliant sights and sounds were infused into a storytelling adventure. The program celebrated living arts, while incorporating four major performance art organizations including the Grand Rapids Symphony, Grand Rapids Ballet, Opera Grand Rapids and Broadway Grand Rapids.

More than 7,000 people came out to watch Live Arts. The event involved 1,546 performers, including 1,200 youth performers. Live Arts raised $1.2 million, with 100% of the funds going to benefit programs at the Grand Rapids Symphony.
