Man suspected of breaking into apartment arrested

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested after breaking into a home in Kalamazoo County Tuesday night.

Police were called to the Meadows Apartment complex, located in the 5500 block of Meadowstone Drive, on a home invasion that was in progress around 11:45 p.m.

As Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies were responding to the call, they discovered that the suspect had ran away on foot.

A K-9 unit was brought in and tracked the suspect to another apartment in the complex where he was taken into custody.

The suspect is being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
