Griffins win game 2 against IceHogs

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The Grand Rapids Griffin won game two in their second-round Calder Cup Playoff series against the Rockford, Ill. IceHogs.

Playing at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids Friday, the Griffins beat the IceHogs 5-1.

“Yeah, you know take advantage of being at home. It’s great place to play. That’s five now. Great crowd, great weather outside for people to come out and support us like that, it’s awesome,” said Griffins team captain Jeff Hoggan.


Series schedule:

  • Game 3: 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 at Rockford
  • Game 4: 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at Rockford
  • (If necessary) Game 5: 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at Rockford
  • (If necessary) Game 6: 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 at Van Andel Arena
  • (If necessary) Game 7: 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20 at Van Anel Arena
