CALEDONIA, Mich. (WOOD) — More than 3,000 Consumers Energy customers in Caldedonia lost power on Friday after a problem with a transmission line.

By Saturday morning, the number of customers without power had declined to about 600. Power was supposed to be restored for everyone by 10:45 a.m., according to Consumers’ interactive power outage map.

The transmission line with which there was a problem carries electricity to a Consumers Energy facility that is then distributed to customers in the Caledonia and Middleville area.
