GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP/WOOD) — A landlord says the victims in a shooting attack that left two adults and two young children dead at a trailer in rural northern Michigan were “happy-go-lucky people” who were new to the area.

State police 1st Lt. Mike Hahn says it appears that the 39-year-old man fatally shot the 24-year-old woman and her two boys, ages 2 and 4, before killing himself. It happened Saturday in Oscoda County’s Greenwood Township, about 180 miles north-northwest of Detroit.
