GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Coming off the big event of Live Arts, the Grand Rapids Symphony has something else very special for West Michigan this week. Symphonic Silhouettes with Le Ombré is May 15 through 17.

The Fox Motors Pops concert features performers from the shadow dance group Le Ombré, who dance in silhouette to create stunning shadow art. The acrobatics, contemporary dance, live vocals, and amusing theatrics with a full orchestra combine to create storytelling that is imaginative and visually spectacular.

Families can enjoy a special one-hour matinee version of the concert at a 3 p.m. concert on Saturday, May 16 as part of the DTE Energy Foundation Family Series. There will be pre-concert activities an hour before the show in the Keeler Lobby, including an instrument petting zoo and other crafts sponsored by Clark Hill.

Symphonic Silhouettes is Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 at 3 p.m.  All three performances are at DeVos Performance Hall led by Associate Conductor John Varineau. Tickets start at $18 and are available at
