New Latin-American restaurant to open in old Ritz Koney

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – A new Latin-American-inspired restaurant is scheduled to open this fall in downtown Grand Rapids in the former Ritz Koney Bar & Grill location, according to city documents.

Renovations are underway for Luna, which GR Now reports is owned by the owners of Tacos el Cunado in the Downtown Market, at 64 Ionia Ave. SW.

Further details on the restaurant’s opening date and menu were not immediately available Wednesday.

In January, the owners of Ritz Koney Bar & Grill announced they were be permanently closing in February after their landlord, Rockford Construction, decided to put a different restaurant in the building.
