GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The City of Grand Rapids says there will be fireworks on Independence Day.
The Amway Family Fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, July 4 at 10:30 p.m., the city announced Thursday.
There will also be music, entertainment, family-friendly activities, food and vendors at Ah-Nab-Awen Park on starting in the mid-afternoon on July 4.
Several viewers contacted 24 Hour News 8 after it was announced last week that Celebration on the Grand had dissolved after 30 years, concerned about what the city would do regarding fireworks. But that event did not host the fireworks.
Last year, Independence Day fireworks in Grand Rapids were on July 5.
