5 hospitalized after crash in Wyoming

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Five people were hospitalized with serious or critical injuries after a crash in Wyoming Saturday evening.

Emergency crews are responding to a crash that happened around 6 p.m. near 32nd Street and Buchanan Avenue in Wyoming. Witnesses told the Wyoming Department of Public Safety that a westbound Saturn ran a red light and hit a GMC Acadia.

Three people had to be extricated from the Saturn and were taken to local hospitals, where each was listed in critical condition.

Two people from the Acadia were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Authorities are still investigating what factors may have contributed to the crash.
