GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – There is still time to sign-up for events and volunteering at this year’s Grand Rapids Triathlon (GRTri).
The GRTri is Sunday, June 14 at Amway Global Headquarters in Ada.
Events will begin at four a.m. and all ages are encouraged to participate.
There are several different events per race that allow athletes to compete at comfortable distances in biking, running and swimming.
A general portion of proceeds from the triathlon will be donated to Kids’ Food Basket (KFB). KFB is a nonprofit organization attacking childhood hunger to help young people learn and live well.
Donations will be raised for each volunteer group at the GRTri. Groups will be awarded up to 150 dollars that will be donated to other community organizations making positive impressions.
Huntington Bank has been a community partner close to 12 years and is excited to promote healthy living and lifestyles in west Michigan.
Good nutrition and physical activity are a strong focus for Amway and is the reason why they sponsor local events that get bodies moving.
