2 arrested for 2014 motel armed robbery in Schoolcraft

SCHOOLCRAFT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities have arrested the couple that were in connection to an armed robbery of a motel in Schoolcraft in 2014.

Corey Nicholes Edgerly and Kelli Rose Smith were both charged with one count of armed robbery by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department. Both subjects were arraigned charges on Friday.

On Dec. 29, 2014, the couple held up the Plainsman Motel on 12500 US-131 at gunpoint. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Edgerly and Smith are currently being held in Kalamazoo County Jail with $20,000 bonds.
