KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Housing 700 children in their foster care system, Kalamazoo County needs your help to continue to provide basic needs for these children and their families.

The Kalamazoo Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is accepting donations through their donations closet known as Aly’s Closet.

Aly’s Closet provides foster care packages to low-income adults and families free of charge. Below is a list of the most needed items for these foster care packs.

Items Needed:

  • Diapers
  • Toiletries
  • Baby wipes
  • Toys
  • School supplies
  • Pajamas
  • Sippee cups
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Pillows
  • Pillow cases
  • Shoes
  • Bedding sheets

Monetary donations are also accepted. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to:
