Motorcycle left burning in Langley Covered Bridge

LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened Monday in the Langley Covered Bridge near Three Rivers.

The incident was initially reported as a motorcycle on fire inside the historic covered bridge.

After further investigation, it was determined the driver of the motorcycle left the scene with another motorcyclist, leaving behind the burnt motorcycle.

The fire did minor cosmetic damage to the roof the bridge.

The motorcycle was BSA brand with a Michigan historical plate on it.
