GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The 2015 Spring Parade of Homes returns to West Michigan May 22 through June 6. This year’s event showcases new home construction in West Michigan with 80 homes created by 57 different builders.
A big focus by builders now is universal design. That’s a form of design that is accessible to everyone including zero-step entries, wide doors and hallways, and a wide turning radius in bathrooms and kitchens. Universal design is meant to allow you to stay in your home longer, whether you’re a young family or experiencing physical changes as you age.
The Spring Parade of Homes is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Memorial Day 1-9 p.m. and Wednesdays 5-9 p.m. Remodeled homes are open June 5 and 6 on Friday and Saturday 1-9 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the homes or $10 at Option 1 Credit Union.
Register to win a four-pack of tickets to the Parade of Homes. Two winners will be chosen on Friday, May 22.
