Griffins series vs Comets starts in Utica

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Griffins will play the Utica Comets in the AHL Western Conference Finals.

The best-of-seven series against the Utica Comets will start in Utica.

Series schedule:

  • Game 1: 7 p.m. Sunday, May 24 in Utica
  • Game 2: 7 p.m. Monday, May 25 in Utica
  • Game 3: 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids
  • Game 4: 7 p.m. Friday, May 29 at Van Andel Arena
  • (If necessary) Game 5: 5 p.m. Sunday, May 31 at Van Andel Arena
  • (If necessary) Game 6: 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 2 at Utica
  • (If necessary) Game 7: 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 at Utica

Tickets for Games 3 and 4 can be purchased on the Griffins website on or their app, or by calling Star Tickets at 800.585.3737.

There will be $2 beers and $2 hot dogs at the games at Van Andel Arena.

The Griffins made it to the third round of the Calder Cup Playoffs after beating the Toronto Marlies in the first round and the Rockford IceHogs in the second round.

The Comets were the regular season Western Conference champions. They beat the Chicago Wolves in Round 1 of the playoffs and the Oklahoma City Barons in Round 2.
