GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) We push our bodies hard when we run or do any kind of workout, so how can you help your body recover? WOTV 4 Women crew member Margaux Drake says there is a 30 minute window after a workout that is important because your body needs nutrition and the muscles are ripe to receive it.

  • Electrolyte replacement – avoid dehydration
  • Protein – refuel so your body can rebuild
