UTICA, NY (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Griffins beat the Utica Comets in Game 2 of the AHL Western Conference Finals on Monday.
Playing in Utica, the Griffins tied up the series with a 4-2 win over the Comets.
The new guy Dylan Larkin was off to a hot start with two goals in the first-period, giving the Griffins a 2-0 lead. During the second-period, Teemu Pulkkinen’s power play goal gave the Griffins a 3-0 lead over the Comets.
Game 3 of the Griffins’ series against the Comets is Thursday at the Van Andel Arena.

The Griffins made it to the third round of the Calder Cup Playoffs after beating the Toronto Marlies in the first round and the Rockford IceHogs in the second round. The Comets, who were the regular season Western Conference champions, beat the Chicago Wolves in Round 1 of the playoffs and the Oklahoma City Barons in Round 2.
