ADA, Mich. (WOOD) Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital plays an important part in not only the West Michigan community, but for so many people across the state. It’s important for community support to keep their programs going. An event to support the hospital is Run 4 a Cause… Our Kids!

Run 4 a Cause is a great family event with a 5K run and a one mile Family Walk. The event raises moey for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. This year’s theme is Rock Your Socks, so participants are encouraged to come out in fun footwear!

The event is especially important to families who have spent time at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, like Joni Korb. She became involved because her daughter spent so much time at the hospital getting great care from the staff. Erin passed away, but her legacy is still alive with Run 4 a Cause’s “Team Erin,” which had 75 members last year! Korb is now also a Committee Member for the run.

Run 4 a Cause is Saturday, June 20, at Leonard Park in Ada. You can participate by registering online up to two days prior to the race. You can also register on June 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and pick up your packet at Vitale’s in Ada. Late registration is on race day from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. at Leonard Park. The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. and the Family Walk starts at 9:30 a.m.
