GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Fairy gardens continue to grow in popularity and this month, a very special location in Grand Rapids is being transformed into a magical garden. Brookby Enchanted is a unique, entertaining family event for people of all ages exhibiting a fun, new trend in gardening. More than 25 fairy houses were created and designed by Grand Rapids artists at the historic Blodgett Estate on the grounds of Aquinas College.
Fairy maps will be available for children to explore the grounds and discover fairy houses, along with fairy wings and wands available in the gift shop. Grand Rapids Symphony musicians will perform sporadically throughout open hours, and other activities will occur as weather allows, such as storytelling.
The Blodgett Estate will be open to the public from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 5 through 7 and June 11 through 13 as well as 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 14. Tickets are $5 for children and $12 for adults and are available to purchase online. Money raised through the event will go toward education programs at the Grand Rapids Symphony.
