GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg in Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
It happened around 5:50 p.m. in the area of Alexander Street and Neland Avenue SE, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
The teen who was shot in the leg was able to get away and called 911 from the nearby 800 block of Neland. His wound is not considered life-threatening.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are not yet known. GRPD said the victim is not cooperating with their investigation.
No one had been arrested Tuesday evening.
