Vehicle hits power pole, causes small power outage

VERGENNES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Lincoln Lake Road between 3 Mile Road and 4 Mile Road has reopened after an accident shut down the road.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says a vehicle hit a power pole, knocking down some power lines. The accident happened a few minutes after one o’clock.

Consumers Energy has been called to deal with the power line issue.  The Consumers Energy outage map shows less than 100 customers are without power. There is no word on injuries to the vehicle’s driver.
