SIDNEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities in Montcalm County are investigating a series of break-ins at an elementary school.
The break-ins happened over the course of two weekends at the Central Montcalm Upper Elementary School, located at 1488 South Sheridan Road.
The first incident involved a break-in into a storage shed on school property. Items were taken from the shed, but they were later found on the property.
The second incident — which deputies believe happened between Friday, June 5 and Sunday, June 7 — the suspects broke into the school. Once inside the school, the suspects ate food, rode bicycles in the hallways and stole two large teddy bears.
