GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Twenty-five years later, a man has been found guilty in the death of a young man who was killed while walking home from a Grand Rapids bar.
On Monday, a jury found Aurelias Marshall guilty in the beating death of 23-year-old Joel Battaglia during a 1990 robbery in the East Hills neighborhood. He could face life in prison.
Marshall was one of four suspects arrested in December with perjury in the murder investigation. He was later charged with open murder.
