2 possible heroin ODs in Norton Shores

NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating the overdose deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a Norton Shores home.

Norton Shores police tell 24 Hour News 8 the 46-year-old man and 32-year-old women probably overdosed on heroin.

Police found the bodies around 3 p.m. Monday inside the man’s home at the Dunes Mobile Home Park on West Sherman Boulevard near Lincoln Street in Norton Shores.

The man’s boss was checking on him after he failed to show up for work.

Police say the two may have been dead in the home for several days.

Investigators say Norton Shores, like other towns across West Michigan, is seeing an increase in heroin overdoses.
