Police seek suspect who stabbed man with bottle

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are looking for the suspect who stabbed another man with a bottle during a fight.

The incident happened around midnight Wednesday in the parking lot behind Konkle’s Bar in the 600 block of Bridge Street.

Police say a man broke a bottle and cut a 44-year-old man.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Authorities detained a man on scene after a witness identified him as being involved in the stabbing. However, once the victim was released from the hospital he said the man detained was not the same man who stabbed him.

Police say the victim and the suspect know each other, but are not releasing any names right now.
