Man hit by 2 vehicles, killed in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was killed Friday night after he was struck by two vehicles in Kalamazoo, one of which then took off.

The crashes happened around 11 p.m. near the intersection of Mills Street and Dewey Avenue, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley confirmed to 24 Hour News 8 on Saturday.

The driver of the first car stopped after hitting the man, Hadley said. After a second vehicle struck the man, it drove away. Police are still looking for that car, but as of Saturday afternoon had not released a description.

The circumstances surrounding the initial crash are still unknown.

Saturday afternoon, the name of the victim had not yet been released.
