LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (WOOD) For some people, pets become part of the family and sometimes there are animals out there who need a loving and caring home. One of the dogs at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary who’s waiting for a forever home is two-year-old Bowie.

Bowie is a black lab mix who came to Mackenzie’s as a stray. The staff there say he loves to play with tennis balls and plush squeaky toys. He has a lot of enthusiasm and picks up on commands quickly. Bowie does need to work on some of those commands, but knows “sit” and “down” so far.

Bowie needs a patient and loving owner who can bring out the best in him. He would love an active family, and lots of evening walks together. A large yard would be great as well.

If you think your home is the right fit for Bowie, give Mackenzie’s a call. They make the adoption process easy by setting up a time for you to come visit Bowie or any of the dogs at their place and they’ll set up a visit at your home with the dog of your choice to ensure it’s a good match for everyone. Each adoption from Mackenzie’s is $150.
