Stolen Pro-Street 1977 Camaro found

BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Pro-Street 1977 Chevrolet Camaro that was stolen from a Van Buren County property has been located, authorities say.

Van Buren County sheriff’s deputies said the Camaro was left in an enclosed trailer on a property in the 8800 block of 40th Street in Bloomingdale Township, and the last time the owner checked on it was two months ago. When he went to get the vehicle Thursday, he found that the trailer and car had been stolen, the Van Buren Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

The Camaro was found Saturday afternoon in Allegan County, the sheriff’s office said in an evening release. The trailer was recovered on Sunday.

Authorities did not immediately provide further details about where the car was found, what condition it was in or if anyone had been arrested, but did say more information would be released later.

The sheriff’s office also thanked the public for providing tips.
