Man pinned in vehicle after crash in Holland Twp.

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was pinned in his vehicle after a crash in Holland Township.

The crash occurred at the intersection of US-31 and James Street at 12:35 a.m. Saturday.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said that a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Juan Enriquez-Garices was going westbound on James Street when it crossed over US-31 and hit a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Ernest Cantu.

Cantu was pinned in his vehicle and had to be freed. He was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition later Saturday.

Cantu’s 19-year-old passenger, Matthew Sherry, was not hurt.

Enriquez-Garcia refused medical attention and was cited for failing to yield.
