Man, 35, hospitalized after shooting in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police say a man has been hospitalized after being shot in the leg Sunday night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Caulfield Avenue, According Sgt. Terry Dixon.

Police say a 35-year-old man was talking to people in a vehicle when one of them pulled out a gun. The victim ran away and as he did he was shot in the leg.

The suspects fled the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital.
