NSPD: Man steals bakery’s cash register

NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WOOD) — Norton Shores police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man who broke into a bakery on the Fourth of July.

The break-in happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday at the Hodgepodge Bakehouse located in the 3300 block of McCraken Street, north of W. Norton Avenue.

The Norton Shores Police Department says the thief used a hammer to break the glass of a door and then entered the bakery and stole the cash register. NSPD says he got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and the register.

The thief was described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s with a short beard. He was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, shorts and sandals.

Anyone with information is asked to call NSPD at 231.733.2691 or Silent Observer at 231.72.CRIME (27463).
