ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WOOD) — The University of Michigan is going to just do it.

Michigan is again partnering with Nike, which will put the Swoosh back on the uniforms, shoes, apparel and equipment for all 31 of its athletics programs. Men’s and women’s basketball teams will use the iconic Jordan Brand “Jumpman” line.

Officially licensed Michigan apparel and products from Nike will be available to fans starting Aug. 1, 2016.

The deal with Nike lasts at least until 2027, with an option to extend the contract until 2031. Financial details will be made available next week, the university said.

A Monday release said “U-M and NIKE also will collaborate throughout the agreement on innovation initiatives in sports technology, design and best practices.” That will include internships at Nike headquarters for Michigan students.

Michigan and Nike previously parted ways in 2007, and the Wolverines have been with Adidas since then. The current contract with Adidas runs out at the end of next July.
