GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Humane Society of West Michigan is holding its annual “Wipe Out the Shelter” Adopt-a-thon this weekend.

It will take place from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 10 and 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 at 3077 Wilson Avenue NW in Grand Rapids.

The event will feature reduced adoption fees. Adoption fees for dogs five months and older and kittens four months and younger will be $50. Fees for cats five months and older and small animals will be waived, but donations would be appreciated.

In 2014, the event helped 116 animals find forever homes — according to the HSWM.
