Epoca International has recalled thousands of kettles because their glass can break.

The recall affects about 113,000 Primula glass kettles which come with a green or black plastic handle.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the bottom portion of glass can break when heated, posing laceration and burn hazards.

Epoca International has received nine reports of incidents, including three injuries and one report of property damage.

Retail stores including Target, Meijer, Ross Stores, Kitchen Collection, and Peyton Phoenix sold the coffee pots, as well as Amazon.com, Target.com, and PrimulaProducts.com from January 2012 through May 2015.

Customers should either return the product to the retailer or contact Epoca International at 800.241.7940 anytime or online at www.epoca.com for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund.
