Maranda Park Party at Berlin Raceway Thursday

MARNE, Mich. (WOTV) — Berlin Raceway is home of the second Maranda Park Party of the summer on Thursday.

Berlin Raceway is opening the entire race track for the party. Kids and families will be able to walk on the track, see the pits, and check out race cars, safety equipment, and monster trucks.

The Park Party will also have all the fun of rides, games, attractions, activities, live entertainment, and prizes. Meijer will be there with apples, Country Fresh has ice cream sandwiches, the McDonald’s Street Team will be handing out apple dippers, and kids can get up close to farm animals with the Coopersville Farm Museum. The first 80 families to donate a bag of new or gently used items to Bethany’s Thrift Store will receive an Entertainment Book.

Maranda Park Parties is partnering with the Michigan Department of Education and Kenowa Hills Public Schools for free lunches to kids 18 and under while supplies last. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. for lunches and the party is from noon until 2 p.m. Everyone is invited and everything is free!

For people who can’t make the Park Party at Berlin, there are a few other parties happening this month:

  • July 16 – Kollen Park, Holland
  • July 23 – Smith Ryerson Park, Muskegon
  • July 30 – Northwestern Middle School, Battle Creek
