PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Calhoun County authorities say they arrested six people on various drug charges after raiding a Pennfield Township house.
Deputies spotted someone suspicious on Wednesday, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, and soon learned the subject was arranging to get controlled substances.
Upon further investigation, authorities found the drugs would be coming from a residence in the 6000 block of Morgan Road. They served a search warrant there around 2 p.m.
Inside were controlled substances and illegal prescription drugs, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators also said they found items used in packaging and distribution of drugs.
Six Battle creek residents, ages 17 to 65, were arrested and face charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and heroin, association with a controlled substance and maintaining a drug house.
The suspects’ names are being withheld pending arraignment.
